The Best Ice Cream in Zagreb

My friends in Zagreb have been very good to me, treating me to the best of everything this incredible city has to offer. After the Festival Starih Zanata at Trg Bana Josipa Jelačića, I went for an ice cream with Kornelija - but not just any ice cream.
We walked a couple of blocks over to Vincek Slastičarnica (the second word means “house of sweets”). Everyone in this town seems to agree that Vincek has the best ice cream in town. They were doing a brisk business when we arrived, and I had to snap these images just as briskly. It’s a small storefront, and sweet-toothed customers kept filing in, pushing us closer and closer to the exit after we had our cones.
I opted for one scoop each of blueberry and hazelnut. And why shouldn’t I have chocolate on top? I deserve chocolate on top.

Why did I look at these pictures and I was already wanting ice cream? I saw on another blog that you like lavender and I just had home made lavender ice cream at the bakery I work at. One of the employees brought it in. It had an interesting flavor. Have you ever tried garlic ice cream?
